As August 4, 2008 the judging for best cover
art will be done a bit differently. We feel voting is being judge
as favorite author and not being judge for the covers them self.
We are happy to see authors have so many loyal fans, but
that is not what the cover awards is all about. We want artist to
be recognized for their talent, and the work that goes into making
a great cover. And in doing so authors are getting their books out
on the market more as well as letting their readers know that not
only are their books great, but their book received an award for
having the best cover art.
Readers will still be able to vote, but we will
have 4 judges who will make the final decision base on the top 4
covers that was voted.
